This article Is all about Youtube.com making it easier to use, and easier to find information for their viewers. The new tool they are going to introduce shortly will be replacing YouTube Insight with YouTube Analytics. This will make it easier for viewers to see who is watching their videos and where they are from. The reasoning for YouTube to do this is because, YouTube wants their viewers to easily be able to learn about who is viewing their videos and , by using the analytical tool they’ll be able to learn about their audience. It says in the article , “now on YouTube, through Insight. Now we want to make it even easier to learn about your audience, so we’ve replaced Insight with YouTube Analytics. Analytics will be released to everyone on a modern browser over the course of the day.” YouTube is trying to add as many new features as possible so they can keep their users happy.
There are many feature in YouTube Analytics. Some of the features that the article lists are “A Quick Overview: A new overview provides all of the information that you care about quickly, while also enabling you to easily access more detailed information. More Detailed Reports: Analytics now includes more detailed statistics so that you can have a more precise understanding of your content and audiences. Audience Builders: Discover which videos are driving the most views and subscriptions. Audience Retention: See how far viewers are watching through your video in the new audience retention report.” So this new feature will pretty much tell you everything you need to know about your audience, from where they are located, to how long they watched your video for. YouTube creating this feature was very innovating and I’m sure it will keep their viewers , and audience happy.
This relates to our course because it shows how the Management team of YouTube is trying to be as innovating as possible , so that people will continue using the site.
