Who am I?

My name is Matthew Richard Cerullo, I am the son of Dena Cerullo of Norwood MA, and Richard Cerullo of Walpole, MA. I was born on June 5th 1991 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital. I have an older stepbrother and younger brother, sister and stepsister. I live with my mother Dena in Norwood MA.  I attended St. Catherine's in Norwood for Elementary and Middle School and Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood for High School where I was the Class Vice-President for 2 years and Student Council Vice-President for my senior year. I am extremely grateful for my family who work hard to send me to school. My father is a Captain at the Westwood Fire Department where he has worked since 1986 and mother is an administrative assistant. As for me I have 3 jobs, one as the beer guy at Gillette Stadium where i have been working for the past 5 football seasons, another one at the Boston Market in my hometown and one here at school delivery driving for Jimmy's Pizza. I am a sports management major and hope to be a household name in sports someday.

I have no idea what I want to get out of this class yet because I really don't know what this class is about!

When I read this article a few things became apparent to me. I had no idea what a Computer and information system mangers do. I have no idea, but after I read this article I had a better understanding of what they did. What they do is that they direct the work of computer software engineers and computer programmers, computer system analysts and computer support specialists. In an excerpt from the website which is right here they give a better definition of what the jobs details are "They plan and coordinate activities such as installing and upgrading hardware and software, programming and systems design, the implementation of computer networks, and the development of Internet and intranet sites. They are increasingly involved with the upkeep, maintenance, and security of networks. They analyze the computer and information needs of their organizations from an operational and strategic perspective and determine immediate and long-range personnel and equipment requirements. They assign and review the work of their subordinates and stay abreast of the latest technology to ensure that the organization remains competitive." (Occupational Outlook Handbook 2010)

  1. Isn't working at Gillette the best! I believe that it really is such a great job and a fun atmosphere to be in. I am not really sure what the class is going to be about either but I guess we will find out soon enough. It was intersting to read that the IT field is so big I guess.
