world flat mikemerjuste

There are many things that I can say about the ten flatteners that Tom Friedman explained in the extremely popular YouTube video the world is flat. Tom explained ten flatteners in his perspective that caused the business working field to narrow down in size from big to ultimately small. In my opinion I feel that Tom did a very good job in creating these flatteners to explain to average day worker what is going on and what our society will undergo. Out of all of toms flatteners there are two main flatteners that I feel that are outrageously more important for the average united states worker should really pay close attention too. The first most important flattener I feel that people should understand is insourcing. The reason why I say this is because lots of people do not realize how important insourcing is to the big companies that rely on companies such as UPS that are based on in sourcing to make a profit. The fact that UPS is working for over a million companies in the united states show that insourcing is a big impact on how businesses can flatten the working field. The second flattener that Tom spoke of that I feel made a huge difference in the working field is the second one ,how Netscape became to the world. The reason why I say this is because netscape change the world is because ever business has to have internet some way shape or form. This makes things easier for every body who knows how to access and function the Internet. Billions of people all around the world uses the Internet. Because of netscape going public to the world people can know work from there homes and triple the work ethic of a average humane being. What and were would our lives be without the Internet? The biggest issue of the Internet I feel is that we all rely on it too much. the ethernet is the biggest thing to happen to man in the past 50 years. this is huge to all of man because of what it has done to buisnesses in all around the world. netscape is the pioneers to the future and beyond.

  1. i agree with what you are saying. what Mr.Friedman said is very insightful andpeople need to hear him say his speech like what we had to watch. if people watched what we had too, then other people would also have a better understanding of the different informational systems that are out there and what they do and how they operate.
