who i am

Hello i am Marcus Leary. i am 21 years old and will be 22 next month on the 23. I am from the small town of Princeton. Some ofmy past work involve working at a factory with my father, doing cleaning at mount wachusett ski area and doing some catering for my mother, but right now im unemployed. I am a sophmore and my major is general business. Some of my hobbies are listening to music that has a great beat to it and playing video games(of course who doesn't when youra 20 something year old male). another of mine is watching anime. one last thing i am very good at harmonizing with alot of music. I hope to one day have a girlfriend.

What i hope to learn from this class is have a better of understanding of how technology works.

what i learned fron the article is that being IT specialist is a big thing and a needed job because there are companies that have valuable technology that they can afford to replace. also getting a degree in the field will take a while.

  1. Dear Marcus,

What time of music do you listen to? Do you listen to Rap, Hip/Hop, Alternative or other any other types of music?

What was the work like? What types of work were you required to do in the factory? Did you like Catering for your mother? What do you see yourself doing in a couple years? Do you see yourself in the hospitality world?

I disagree with your thoughts about the degree taking awhile. You get the degree in four years just like any other degree, but to get stronger and be better in ISM you need a lot of practice and a lot of work put into your job. My brother is a computer science major and worked in the comp-sci department for 12 years and makes six figures in money. As long as you work hard and do well in the computer world you can have a bright future.

  2. Hey Marcus,

This past christmas I got a Playstation 3. I read in your post how your a gamer, and I myself enjoy video games. What types of games are you into/what systems have you played and or own? Your work experience seem's pretty cool and different, not limiting yourself to one specific thing.

As far as music, are you more into newer music, or older stuff? Have you seen any good concerts? The only real concert I've ever been to was Aerosmith/Motley Crue.

I also disagree with your opinion of the article in regards for it taking long to get a degree. In high-school I was taking web-design/e-comerce classes and being exposed to information systems early on. It's just like anything else in life, with hard work and effort comes great success.
